You need a tough clutch that will hold up, but you need a clutch that offers smooth operation too. The key to getting both is to buy a clutch that is made with very high quality materials and utilizes an organic clutch disc with a heavy-duty spring dampened center hub. When used with a high clamp load pressure plate (clutch cover) these premium organic clutch discs get the job done. Metallic, Kevlar, and Ceramic clutch discs are great for racing, but trying to pull out at much less than full throttle is tough! Many of these clutches are similar to using an off/on switch. This is tough on your driveline and your passengers too. The same goes for solid hub (un-sprung) clutch discs ... they have the same aggravating drive-ability problems.
